Palo Santo which means “Holy Wood” comes from regions in South America. Palo Santo comes from the sacred trees of those regions. Trees that have been prayed over and blessed by Shamans for years before the tree is cut down and used for medicine and for wood. I want us to remember that this is “ sacred “ wood and should be used for that purpose alone. This over harvesting of palo has caused allot of harm and blocked space for ancient ritual. Let’s be mindful as we think of using this.

Thanks to its ability to open the path within and communication with “the other world”, it is an excellent purifier, anti depressive and relaxant. Stress, panic attacks, “bad mojo”, negative energy, suffering, sadness, etc., are elements that we can have in our inner self that affect our quality of life. Using palo santo can allow us to achieve a more balanced state with ourselves, allowing us to become more fully aligned in our mind-body experience.

Palo is a as a ritual cleanser because it possesses same cleansing properties as Sage and Cedar, clearing insects as well.
Palo Santo scent alone has an uplifting scent that raises your vibration during meditation. It brings good fortune and enhances creativity

The use of Palo Santo can boost your immune system from environmental pollution, bad diet, and emotional distress. When used as herbal tea it works as a great detoxification agent.. •

    Light your Palo Santo stick.

Let the stick catch fire, and allow it to burn for about 30 seconds.

Then, gently blow out the flame. If needed, you can blow on the embers to keep the smoke going throughout the process

Say aloud or silently, “I ask that the plant spirit of Palo Santo please infuse this space with blessings.”

To fill your space with blessings, start at the front door and walk clockwise through it with your Palo Santo.

To bless yourself, your space or crystals, simply allow the smoke and rich smell of the Palo Santo to fill the room.
